Registrations

What is the registration deadline? Until when can I register on site?

The deadline for online registration is Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (excluding the National League and Youth League).

Registrations made after July 6, 2026 will be subject to a surcharge of CHF 15 (except for the Tri Kids).

On-site registration will be possible up to 45 minutes before the start of the relevant category (subject to availability).

It is possible to pay for your registration with a foreign bank account. Our partner Datasport offers a wide range of payment options when you register.

You can view your registration on therace bib page of our website by clicking the “Start List” button. Depending on the payment method, it may take a few days for your registration to appear (3 to 5 days).

You can cancel your registration through Datasport, either by logging into your personal account or by contacting them directly at info@datasport.com.

If you purchased cancellation insurance when you registered, any questions regarding coverage for your situation or a potential refund request should be directed to Datasport (at the address listed above).

Please note, however, that canceling your registration does not automatically result in a refund.

If no cancellation insurance was purchased at the time of online registration, the organizer will not be able to issue a refund, even upon presentation of a medical certificate.

Any change to a registration will be billed to the participant at CHF 15. This amount must be paid in advance by Twint or in cash when picking up the race number (the race number will not be given to the participant without payment).

A competition license from Swiss Triathlon (StartPass) or an ITU/ETU-affiliated foreign federation is compulsory for the following individual races affiliated to a national series: Youth League 14-15 and National League. You can register here.

Bibs and licenses

Bib numbers can be collected on site on presentation of your registration confirmation at the following times:

  • Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, August 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 8, 2026, starting at 6:00 a.m. and ending 45 minutes before the race starts
  • Sunday, August 9, 2026, starting at 6:00 a.m. and ending 45 minutes before the race starts

Yes, it’s possible (except for NL and YL races). All you need to do is present your registration confirmation e-mail when you pick up your race number.

No medical certificate is required, even if you don’t have a license. However, you must be covered by accident or civil liability insurance.

Participants in the Nyon Triathlon must be in possession of a license (Swiss or foreign) in order to take part in the events. A daily license can be purchased at the time of registration on the Datasport platform, depending on the type of race:

  • StartPASS: Olympic Distance (individual race), National League and Youth League
  • EasyPASS: Duathlon, short distance and relays
  • FunPASS: Discovery Triathlon and Aquathlon

Holders of a Swiss annual license (StartPASS) or a foreign triathlon license do not need to purchase a daily license.

No, but the acquisition of a daily license at registration is equivalent to authorization to participate in an official Swiss Triathlon competition. All foreign licenses are accepted, without the need to purchase a Swiss Triathlon daily license.

No medical certificate is required, nor even proof of membership of a sports club.

A foreign license effectively dispenses with the need to purchase a Swiss license to take part in Triathlon Series events.

A competition license from Swiss Triathlon (StartPass) or an ITU/ETU-affiliated foreign federation is compulsory for the following individual races affiliated to a national series: Youth League 14-15 and National League. You can register here.

Races

Yes, time limits are set for the Short Distance and Olympic Distance categories (see therulespage). Participants are free to complete the race but do so at their own risk, on a course open to traffic and without volunteers or medical support; we cannot guarantee that the total time will be recorded.

Wetsuits are forbidden if the water temperature is 22°C or higher, and compulsory if the water temperature is 15.9°C or lower. The decision is taken each race day by the referees and communicated by the speakers 1 hour before the start.

If neoprene wetsuits are not permitted – i.e. when the water temperature is 22°C or higher – neoprene shorts and leggings are also forbidden.

As a general rule, and to be on an equal footing with the other teams, it would be best if there were three of you. If you can’t find anyone, we can exceptionally accept only two of you in a relay. Note that running two of the three disciplines is only a problem if you swim, pass the baton to a cyclist and then the cyclist passes the baton to you to run.

If you’re looking for a relay operator, we advise you to share the information on social networks.

The use of assisted and electric bicycles is prohibited.

Mountain bikes can be used as long as they comply with Swiss Triathlon rules: https: //www.trinyon.ch/reglement/

For safety reasons and in accordance with Swiss Triathlon regulations, it is not permitted to use headphones when cycling or running.

For rolling starts, athletes will start in groups of 5 every 15 seconds.
