Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 August
The athletes competing in the Short Distance category have the choice of 6 starting blocks. Thus, all age and gender categories will be mixed. It will be possible to start at the same time as friends, family, colleagues or best opponents. Racing as a team is a great idea to motivate yourself! However, for the safety of the athletes, drafting remains prohibited.
Since 2021, the relays can also choose their starting block. Moreover, in each block, the start will be by “rolling start”, i.e. 5 people every 15 seconds. This will allow everyone to start with comfortable conditions as never seen before đ
How to choose your starting block?
Don’t go in the last block if you think it will take more than 2h30 to finish your race. All athletes must have crossed the finish line before 12:45 pm on Saturday and 16:15 pm on Sunday. After this time, you will be able to finish your race but on a course open to traffic. We advise you to start in the first block if you wish to have the course free. If you prefer to sleep one hour more to arrive in better shape, register in the last start. The classification will remain by categories as in previous years, with a ranking for each day.

Swiss Triathlon EasyPass
For races with ranking and referees, not part of the Triathlon Series, an EasyPass is required by Swiss Triathlon. It costs CHF 10.00 and allows you to become a member of the Swiss Triathlon Federation. In the races where it applies, the competition rules are lightened in an educational and promotional spirit. This contribution helps to boost the offer of popular competitions in Switzerland, to standardize them and to increase their quality while allowing the development of triathlon in our country.
In Nyon, the EasyPass is necessary for the Duathlon, the Short Distance race (individual and relay) and for the Olympic distance relay. For the relays, only the purchase of a single EasyPass is necessary for the whole team. More information is available on the Swiss Triathlon website.
The EasyPass must be purchased at the time of registration on the Datasport platform. A person with an annual license (StartPass) does not need to purchase an EasyPass.
