Rules

For all the categories , the Swiss Triathlon competition rules apply.
The hard helmet is mandatory for all categories.
As the race tracks remain open to traffic, all participants must comply with the rules of the road.

Licence

A Swiss Triathlon competition licence or from a foreign federation affiliated to ITU/ETU is mandatory for the follwing individual categories :
- SwissTriathlon Circuit, Classic distances (1.5 Km, 40 Km, 10 Km)
- SwissTriathlon Circuit, Double Sprint*

*Registrations for the Double Sprint category require a "PRO" licence to be requested at Swisstriathlon ( ).

Annual licence Swiss Triathlon : CHF 140.00 (individual member not part of a club)
Daily licence Swiss Triathlon : CHF 30.00

Daily licences can be obtained on the spot at the registration desk (race number distribution).

Caution : only Swiss athlets having an annual licence (competition member, available at Swiss Triathlon) can participate to the Swiss Championships.

Inter-Firms Challenge

Only the employees of the same firm and taking part in a relay are allowed to participate to the Inter-Firms Challenge.

FAMILY Team

The FAMILY Team must be composed from 2 to 5 members (minimum 5 years old) of the same family only.
The 3 disciplines shall be done by the whole FAMILY Team at the same time.
The whole FAMILY Team must pass the finish line all together.

Insurance

Participants must acquire personal liability and health insurance which offers the legally necessary guarantees to compete in the Triathlon of Nyon.
The organisers disclaim all responsibility in the event of accident or loss/theft of equipment.

Waiver of responsibility

In order to obtain your race number on the spot, all participants must sign a responsibility waiver. You may download and complete this waiver in advance, by clicking here. The waiver will be completed with your race number when you collect it.

Wet suit

Wet suits (swimming) must be worn, according to item 3.1 of the Swiss Triathlon competition rules, when the water temperature is 14° C or less.

As a reminder, the wet suit is :
- forbidden if the water is higher than 22°C;
- at own discretion if the water is higher than 14°C and 22°C or less;
- mandatory if the water is 14°C or less.

Time limit Classic categories (Individual and Relay)

Any athlete in Classic Category (individual or relay) not having started the last running lap at 15:45 will be stopped by the race marshalls.

Doping

All information about fighting doping, in particula forbidden substances, the authorized medication, the add-ons, control validity, special authorizations, rights and obligations, are available on www.dopinginfo.ch.

Drafting

Drafting is forbidden for all categories, except for "Sprint" category which is taking place on Sunday (open only for Professionals).
